Arte di Pietra

A Stone Story by Coco Unika
Arte di Pietra pays homage to the inherent beauty of stone, showcasing its organic veining, soft earth tones, and bold silhouettes. From statement dining tables to architectural plinths, each piece embodies balance, texture, and masterful craftsmanship.
There are materials that hold memory — not just of place, but of time itself. Stone is one of them. It has lived beneath the surface of the earth for centuries, formed through quiet pressure, slow alchemy, and elemental force. In every slab of marble, in each vein that runs like brushstrokes through travertine, we glimpse the poetry of the natural world — untamed, eternal, and astonishingly beautiful.

With Arte di Pietra — “the art of stone” — Coco Unika presents a sculptural collection that honours this history. Drawing on the traditions of Italian craftsmanship and contemporary Australian design, the collection reimagines stone not just as a building material, but as an emotional one — grounding, expressive, and rich with story.
From the generous curves of the Palladio Table, carved in painterly Calacatta Viola and grounded with bold travertine slab legs, to the soft-edged Fiorenza Side Table, cut from solid stone and shaped with quiet elegance, each piece is a study in contrasts: strength and softness, restraint and drama, heritage and modernity.
There is the Ornella Plinth, a monolithic column of vein-cut travertine designed to elevate art, florals, or objects of sentiment — or simply to exist as sculpture in its own right. And there are smaller pieces, too — the Zia Cake Stand in Emperador marble, Travertine or Calacatta, offering the kind of everyday luxury that turns a simple offering into a gesture of ceremony.
Each design in Arte di Pietra is guided by proportion, tactility and the natural variance of the stone itself. No two pieces are the same — the veining, movement and colour tell their own stories. What unites them is a sense of quiet theatre. They do not demand attention, but they hold it.

A Living Material
Stone has been used for millennia — in temples, cathedrals, palaces, and homes — not only for its durability but for its sense of permanence. It invites us to slow down. It reminds us that design can be enduring, rooted in substance and soul.
In an age of fast production, Arte di Pietra is an offering of pause — a return to natural rhythm, to the beauty of raw material shaped by hand and heart. These are pieces to be lived with, touched daily, passed down. They are not perfect in the polished sense — they are perfect in their honesty.
A Note from the Designer
“For me, stone holds emotion. It’s quiet but commanding, full of depth and subtle drama. With Arte di Pietra, I wanted to honour that — to create pieces that felt timeless and grounded, sculptural but simple. There’s a certain poetry in letting the material lead.”
